About Desert Canyon Golf Club (Fountain Hills, AZ)
Desert Canyon Golf Club has long been a local favorite of golfers in the Fountain Hills/Ft McDowell community. Originally operated as a private club, this now daily fee facility welcomes players of all abilities. The golf course sprawls amid hilly desert terrain set against a panoramic canvas of mountain views, as well as clear views of the world's tallest fountain. Some of the course characteristics include elevated tees leading to generous fairways, strategic doglegs framed with oak trees, and the occasional water hazard. After your round, consider dining in The Steakhouse at Desert Canyon, the only prime steakhouse in Fountain Hills.

Did not like this course and deteremined that by the 2nd hole. Felt rushed to get going then had to wait on 2nd hole as it was backed up again. This course is perfect for old man golfing, but not for a resort or vacation play. I dont know how this could have been rated best public course for 15 straight years or so it claimed.
